AFLW players are multitalented, just ask former Western Bulldogs player Bailey Hunt.

Hunt, who played 51 matches throughout her AFLW career for the Bulldogs and Essendon, has kept busy since wrapping up her time at the top level, holding multiple jobs in a range of different industries.

Hunt has recently been undertaking work experience with the AFL Digital Network’s player-led vodcast Tagged, in addition to her roles with the Melbourne-based gardening and landscape business Green Dalia Gardens, as well as the AFLPA. Hunt is also the gameday runner with Essendon.

Appearing on this week’s episode of Tagged, Hunt shared what life has been like since hanging up the boots.

"It's been great to see how you guys operate behind the scenes and how it all comes together, it's been really cool to see," Hunt said.

"You mention juggling careers, I reckon I have six million different jobs!" she laughed.

"Once you finish up footy, you've obviously got to prioritise working full-time to find an income, but then trying to sort of find different career paths and avenues and finding the time to see what you can get from that."

While Hunt is still figuring out exactly what she wants her life to look like post-footy, she's enjoying the breadth of work right now.

"I'm still trying to figure it out, but sort of in a nice spot where I actually prefer having multiple different jobs rather than the same thing," she said.

"It gives you a bit of variety and this has allowed me to come and do work experience here as well.

"Always reaching out and finding different avenues to do stuff, it's a nice mix."

Hunt does miss playing at the top level, but is loving her role working as a gameday runner with the Bombers, helping to shape the club's young talent.

"Nothing quite replicates footy, although my gameday role with Essendon does kind of reproduce that camaraderie and the gameday feeling I got when I was playing," Hunt said.
