FOR THE first time in five years, Going Places will return to AFL.com.au ahead of this year's Telstra AFL Draft.

Going Places has been a long-running series and key part of AFL.com.au's draft coverage since starting in 2014, where we have followed draft prospects through their draft years as they traverse the ups and downs of chasing their AFL dreams.

This year, AFL.com.au's Cal Twomey has tracked Carlton's father-son prospect Cody Walker throughout the top-five prospect's season as he hopes to land at the Blues later this month.

Across many interviews with Walker, Going Places will get his unique insight into being one of the top-rated prospects this year, the benefits of being in an AFL system with Carlton, the pressures that come with being a father-son prospect, his setbacks and successes and how he has handled being the face of the new bidding system changes.

As well as a long-form article, Going Places will also feature a 20-minute documentary tracking Walker's draft campaign.

Both will be available to read and watch on Monday morning on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.

Going Places started in 2014, when we followed Christian Petracca, Paddy McCartin, Lachie Weller and Jarrod Pickett on their paths to the AFL, with Callum Ah Chee, Jarrod Berry, Ben Ainsworth and Jaidyn Stephenson other top picks to have been a part of the series over the years.

The most recent series came in 2021, when Collingwood prodigy Nick Daicos featured in Going Places on his way to being the Magpies' next big thing.
