UNBEATEN Tasmania is well placed to take out the Division Two title of the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships after defeating the Northern Territory by 33 points at Visy Park on Saturday.

The Tasmanians will play Queensland at Skilled Stadium on Thursday and can claim back-to-back titles with a win after the NSW/ACT Rams proved too strong for the Queenslanders in the second game on Saturday afternoon.

The NT lads stuck with Tasmania for three quarters, but a five-goals-to-one final term decided the contest.

Versatile tall Brody Mihocek was important for Tassie with 17 possessions and a goal and the Burnie lad also spent time in the ruck where he recorded eight hitouts.

John McKenzie led the way with 19 touches and also kicked a goal while full-forward Julian Dobosz continued his fine carnival with his three goals taking his tally to 14 goals in three games.

Jake Neade was the Thunder's best player with 20 disposals with Braedon McLean working hard for his 21 touches.

The Rams led by five goals at half-time and powered away to defeat Queensland by 54 points.

Sam Milne was adjudged NSW/ACT's best player by coach Nick Stevens for his negating role on Queensland ball winner Jackson Allen, while Tom Stevens impressed with 21 disposals.

A good team effort by the Rams saw them finish with nine goalkickers.

Peter Yagmoor was the Scorpions' best with 16 possessions and Fraser Thurlow dominated the hitouts with 25.

Queensland still has a chance to win the Division Two title with one win from two games, but must win Thursday's match against Tasmania and hope NT defeats NSW/ACT.
