MARK LeCras will play his first game of football in 12 months after being named in West Coast's NAB Cup squad to face Geelong and Fremantle on Saturday night.

LeCras ruptured his ACL at training almost one year ago to the date, but has made significant strides in his recovery this pre-season.

While the side is bookmarked by LeCras' return, the Eagles have named a strong side for Saturday night's games.

Former Collingwood midfielder Sharrod Wellingham will play his first game in West Coast colours, while Cale Morton has also been named to play his first game since crossing over from Melbourne.

However, dynamic ruck duo Nic Naitanui, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, and Dean Cox are the notable outs for the Eagles.

With Cox and Naitanui out, Fremantle will be hoping the inclusion of Aaron Sandilands gives them the advantage in the ruck area.

Nathan Fyfe, David Mundy, Matthew Pavlich and Ryan Crowley will all miss for Freo, but Port Adelaide recruit Danyle Pearce is set to line up in purple for the first time.

Geelong has named 14 premiership players in its squad, which includes seven All Australians.

Recruits Josh Caddy (Gold Coast) and Jared Rivers (Melbourne) will have a chance to prove their worth in the blue-and-white hoops, while last season's draftees Jackson Thurlow (pick No.16) and Brad Hartman (No.77) both get a look in.

For Sunday's games, Port Adelaide has named recruit Angus Monfries and top draft pick Oliver Wines in its squad of 34.

Monfries returns to the Power via free agency, after deciding to return to his home state after 150 games with Essendon.

Wines comes to the Power with a big reputation after being selected with the No.7 pick in last year's NAB AFL Draft.

Adelaide has named a very inexperienced squad, with captain Nathan Berlo, Scott Thompson, Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane and Sam Jacobs, Taylor Walker, Brent Reilly, Ben Rutten, Jason Porplyzia and Bernie Vince (shoulder) all notable absentees.

Boom youngster Brad Crouch has been named for his second pre-season game, following his this time last year.

Unlike last year, Crouch is eligible to play senior football for the Crows and will be eager to press his case for a round one berth.

Two of the Crows' 2012 draftees have also been named with Sam Siggins (pick No.62) and Rory Atkins (pick No.81) set to play their first senior games.

St Kilda will be without captain Nick Riewoldt and defender Sam Fisher, but have named Tom Hickey (Gold Coast) and Tom Lee (Claremont) and former Swan Trent Dennis-Lane for their first games with their new club.
