NORTH Melbourne's Aaron Mullett is the round two NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.

The 21-year-old running defender has had impressive start to the season, averaging 21.5 disposals a game while giving the Kangaroos plenty of drive off the half-back line.
His clean disposal, speed and cool head were on show in the loss to Geelong, picking up 20 possessions, laying six tackles and kicking a goal.
North Melbourne coach Brad Scott said Mullett’s good form was reward for the hard work which saw him elevated to the club’s senior list.
“Aaron has had a really great pre-season this year and we’re pleased with how he’s developing and maturing as a player. He has worked hard to apply himself and improve on the natural skill and football attributes which he has,” Scott said.
Mullett was originally taken with pick 34 in 2011 rookie draft and fought his way onto the senior list to debut in round 22 of the same year.
Placed on the rookie list for the start of the 2012 season, Mullett's strong form and persistence once again saw him promoted to the senior list.
So far his three seasons at Aegis Park have netted him 11 senior games.
Mullett was recruited from Vermont Football Club and the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup.
