PORT Adelaide has rested star duo Travis Boak and Chad Wingard as well as first-choice ruckman Matthew Lobbe for its NAB Challenge match against Adelaide on Sunday at Richmond Oval.

All three were all selected in the Power's initial squad but the club said none were omitted due to injury concerns.

Angus Monfries will captain the side in Boak's absence while Ollie Wines and first-year defender Darcy Byrne-Jones will start the game as substitutes.

The Crows omitted ruckman Angus Graham, rookie Alex Spina and Rory Atkins from their squad, with Jarryd Lyons and exciting forward Charlie Cameron the subs.
