COLLINGWOOD swingman Ben Reid's run of bad luck has continued after he was caught up in a multi-vehicle accident on Melbourne's West Gate Bridge Monday morning.

Reid was unhurt in the accident, which happened around 9.15am, but his car was damaged.

The 25-year-old has been sidelined since early March when he suffered a calf injury.

He suffered another setback last week, injuring his quad at training, having played just one game back in the VFL.

The club issued a statement confirming details of the accident.

"Reid's car was damaged but he emerged unscathed," the statement said.

"Reid will return to training tomorrow."

AFL.com.au understands Reid was not at fault in the three-vehicle accident.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed it attended an accident in the outbound lanes of the West Gate Bridge.

"No one was taken to hospital," an Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed to AFL.com.au.
