ADELAIDE has appointed player manager Justin Reid as its list manager.

Reid, the son of former Crows football manager John Reid, spent 14 years at Elite Sports Properties and currently heads the company's AFL talent division.

After finishing at ESP, he'll start with the Crows in January and will be based in Melbourne.

"I am passionate about the football industry and have always enjoyed a good working relationship with the Adelaide Football Club," Reid said.

"A recent meeting with CEO Andrew Fagan and David Noble progressed my interest in crossing to club land and I look forward to the new challenge."

Reid will replace David Noble as list manager, who recently became head of football at West Lakes.

One of the game's leading agents, certainly in South Australia, Reid has managed some of Adelaide and Port Adelaide's brightest stars including Taylor Walker, Brodie Smith, Hamish Hartlett, Jared Polec, Kane Cornes and Brad Ebert.

Noble said Reid was an obvious choice to move into the role.

"Justin brings fresh ideas and a different perspective on list management, as well as other areas of our business," he said.

"He has long-term relationships right across the football industry and understands our needs."
