ST KILDA has left its skipper Nick Riewoldt out of its clash against the Brisbane Lions at a sodden Mackay in Queensland.

Riewoldt will be joined by Luke Delaney and Cameron Shenton in the stands, while the Lions have opted for a reduced interchange bench of six, leaving five players out.

Senior regulars Mitch Robinson and Nick Robertson will miss out from the named squad, along with youngsters Liam Dawson, Eric Hipwood and Billy Evans.

Mackay has been drenched with more than 200mm of rain in the past three days, leaving puddles on the field.
