ADELAIDE forward Tom Lynch will miss Saturday's clash against Richmond after flying home to attend the birth of his second child.

Lynch travelled to Melbourne on Friday, but Adelaide announced just before naming its final team on Saturday that he had returned to Adelaide to be with his partner.

Lynch has been replaced in the Crows' side by Riley Knight, who will play his first AFL game of the season.

Lynch is the second Crow to withdraw from the team Adelaide selected on Thursday night, with midfielder Brad Crouch (hamstring soreness) replaced by Jarryd Lyons on Friday.

Richmond made no late changes to its selected 22.
