ADELAIDE is the most represented club in the 2016 AFL Players' Association's 22Under22 squad, with seven of the Crows' brightest young talents named in the preliminary team.

Now in its fifth year, the fan-voted 22Under22 recognises the best players in the competition aged 22 years or under for the entirety of the season, including finals.

Crows Rory Laird, Jake Lever, Matt Crouch, Brad Crouch, Rory Atkins, Charlie Cameron and Mitch McGovern have all earned nods for their efforts this year under first-year coach Don Pyke.

The Western Bulldogs, Melbourne and Essendon have the next best representation, with five players from each club vying to be chosen in the final team.

At the other end of the spectrum, North Melbourne is the only team to not have any players selected in the 50-man line-up.

The initial squad will be trimmed to 22 players, with the final 22Under22 to be announced at the AFLPA MVP Awards night on September 13.
