ADELAIDE'S first-round draft pick Jordan Gallucci has massive shoes to fill in the club's coveted No.7 guernsey.

The only two other players to have donned the Crows' No.7 – dual premiership star Nigel Smart and former captain Nathan van Berlo – both played more than 200 games in the red, yellow and blue.

Gallucci was selected with the 15th pick overall in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft.

The explosive midfielder also wore No.7 for TAC Cup team Eastern Ranges and his junior club Lilydale.

Smart was a foundation player with the Crows in 1991.

He played 270 games, ranked fifth all-time with the club, was a three-time All-Australian and played in the club's two premierships in 1997 and 1998.

Smart retired in 2004, with van Berlo taking over the No.7 guernsey the following year.

He played 205 games before retiring at the end of last season.

Gallucci's close mate and fellow draftee Myles Poholke will wear the No. 31 jumper that was previously worn by Gold Coast recruit Jarryd Lyons.

Meanwhile, Elliott Himmelberg will take over the No. 34 guernsey from defender Sam Shaw, who retired because of concussion issues, but has been retained on the rookie list for administrative reasons.

The numbers the other draftees will wear have yet to be announced.

Ben Jarman won't wear the No.3 his father Darren wore with distinction.

Riley Knight will retain the No.3 jersey next year.
