RICHMOND has a major injury scare on the eve of the finals, with star midfielder Dion Prestia limping from training on Thursday.

Prestia was down on the ground for a couple of minutes before eventually leaving the track with an ankle complaint.

However, the Tigers are confident Prestia will be fine for Friday week's qualifying final against Geelong at the MCG.

Superstar Dustin Martin was at the club but didn't join his teammates out on the field.

Prestia has missed three games in his first season at the club. Two of those were for hamstring soreness in rounds seven and eight, while he missed the clash with former side Gold Coast in round 19 with calf and knee issues.

The 24-year-old was limited to 22 matches in his last two years at the Suns with knee injuries.
