FORWARD Mo Hope has walked out on Collingwood and will join North Melbourne, with the Roos recruiting yet another prized player in the lead-up to its first season in the NAB AFL Women's competition.

Hope was signed by Collingwood as one of its flagship players ahead of the inaugural AFLW season in 2016, but North Melbourne has strongly targeted the Magpie this off-season and is expected to announce her signing on Friday.

Having averaged seven disposals and one goal per game over her 13-game career, Hope, 30, is yet to reach the potential that was seen in her initial exhibition matches.

Hope will join Emma Kearney (Western Bulldogs), Jasmine Garner (Collingwood), Jess Duffin (Collingwood), Kaitlyn Ashmore (Brisbane), Jamie Stanton (Brisbane), Tahlia Randall (Brisbane) and Danielle Hardiman (Carlton) in a long list of talented players to be acquired by North Melbourne this off-season.

Ruck Emma King (Collingwood) is also expected to be confirmed as another Roo signing.
