GEELONG has recalled small forwards Cory Gregson and Lincoln McCarthy for Sunday's blockbuster clash against Richmond at the MCG and has replaced the injured Aaron Black with young defender Zach Guthrie.

Young forwards James Parsons and Jamaine Jones make way, with Black to miss the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL against the Kangaroos last week.

The Tigers have also made three changed with superstar Tiger Dustin Martin confirmed to return after overcoming a calf complaint and following his trip to New Zealand over the weekend to see his father Shane.

Premiership forward Daniel Rioli will play his first senior game since last year's Grand Final after recovering from the broken foot he suffered against the Crows.

Second-year midfielder Jack Graham has also been recalled for the game against the Cats and could go head-to-head with one of Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield or Gary Ablett.

Anthony Miles, Connor Menadue and Callum Moore have all been dropped after last week's 14-point loss to Port Adelaide.

Gregson played a starring role in the VFL last week, booting five goals from 22 disposals in a best afield performance against North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium last Saturday.

McCarthy returns to the team after being a late withdrawal against North Melbourne due to a hamstring complaint, after playing his first game of the season against Gold Coast in round 11.

Guthrie will play his first game since round seven against Greater Western Sydney, with the 19-year-old collecting 25 disposals in the VFL last weekend.

Richmond is chasing its 16th-straight victory at the MCG, while Geelong has won two from four games it has played at the venue this season.
