Injury wrap: Sore Dogs in race to face Kangas

ICYMI: 'Ridiculous' to pick on the champs Nat Edwards brings you all the news from round 13

THE INJURY-ravaged Bulldogs will be hoping Marcus Bontempelli, Tom Boyd and Toby McLean make it to the start line for Saturday's clash with North Melbourne.

Already without a number of their senior players, the Dogs returned from Adelaide licking their wounds following a heavy defeat by the Power

Bontempelli faces a test after he hyperextended his knee in the last quarter. The superstar has, however, been cleared of serious structural damage.

Boyd, who needed surgery to repair a compound dislocation of his finger, will also be assessed, while McLean hurt his shoulder in the first quarter but finished the game.

Easton Wood could miss the rest of the season with a high-grade hamstring injury, Jack Macrae has a low-grade hamstring strain and will miss up to a month, and Lukas Webb is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a fractured thumb.

West Coast star Luke Shuey should be fine to face Essendon at Optus Stadium on Thursday, despite copping a couple of heavy knocks in the loss to the Swans.

Shuey spent time off the ground, back came back on and played out the game.

Fellow Eagles Liam Ryan and Josh Kennedy were both limping after half-time, but finished out the match.

FROM THE TWOS: Dropped Watts finds form in the SANFL

Lincoln McCarthy could miss Geelong's round 15 assignment against the Bulldogs after he suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Tigers.

McCarthy failed to return and will have scans to determine the severity of the injury.

Teammate Tom Stewart hobbled down to the rooms during the first half to have his ankle assessed, but appeared to move freely when he returned.

At Tigerland, Jack Riewoldt came off under the blood rule after suffering a cut to his face in the third term, but soon returned.

FINE WINES Port star a huge Fantasy hit

St Kilda's come-from-behind win came at a cost, with Jimmy Webster set to miss at least the Saints' round 15 match with Melbourne because of an adductor issue.

Webster went off early in the game and did not return.

Young Saint Bailey Rice was left concussed from a third-quarter head clash with Jack Martin and did not return.

In the same game, Sun Jack Bowes injured a quad and will be assessed ahead of Gold Coast's trip to Launceston to play Hawthorn on Saturday.

The Hawks will be hoping James Frawley comes up after he was a late withdrawal from the match with Adelaide because of a migraine.

Already limping to the bye, Adelaide again had a few injury concerns against the Hawks.

THINGS WE LEARNED: Are the Crows busted?

Sam Gibson has hamstring awareness, although he was tested and played out the game, while Paul Seedsman took a knock to his hip but should be fine to return for the Crows' round 15 meeting with West Coast.
