The AFL advises the Match Review of last night’s First Elimination Final between Melbourne and the Geelong Cats has been completed. No charges were laid. Please find below the one matter that was explained in detail.

Charges Laid:

Other Matters Assessed:

Contact between Melbourne’s Aaron Vandenberg and the Geelong Cats’ Jordan Murdoch from the second quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. Murdoch gathered the ball with Vandenberg coming towards him from front-on. Vandenberg made high contact in the tackle but it was the view of the Match Review Officer that the Melbourne player made a genuine attempt to tackle and his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances.
