COLLINGWOOD and Greater Western Sydney will enter Saturday night's must-win semi-final at the MCG as selected as they eye off a preliminary final clash with reigning premier Richmond.

The Magpies are gunning for their first finals win in six years after running West Coast within 16 points in Perth last week, while the Giants have never won a post-season match outside of Sydney.

GWS lost prime mover Josh Kelly (knee) from last week's side, but Leon Cameron's men looked ominous in a 49-point demolition of the Swans.

As an interesting aside, the returning Lachie Keeffe will face off with his former Collingwood teammates, including ex-housemate Josh Thomas, for the first time.

Keeffe and Thomas received two-year bans in August 2015 for testing positive to banned substance clenbuterol, but the Pies showed faith to initially retain them.

The Giants threw Keeffe a lifeline after he was delisted at the end of last year and he will play his eighth game of the year on Saturday night.

Greater Western Sydney edged out Collingwood by 16 points in the clubs' sole home and away season clash.
