Seven-year-old Isla Roscrow from Darlington in South Australia has been named the 2018 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year, and joined this year’s premiership players in the traditional Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade today.

The NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year competition demonstrates NAB’s commitment to supporting footballers from the grassroots to the big time – celebrating the passion and dedication of thousands of children who attend NAB AFL Auskick centres across Australia every weekend.

From hundreds of entries, a team of 22 nominees were chosen to vie for the title of NAB Auskicker of the Year.

As part of her prize, Isla was last night presented with $5,000 from NAB, with Joel Selwood & Katie Brennan set to be her personal footy mentor for 2019.

Isla and her fellow nominees will have an unforgettable experience at the 2018 Toyota AFL Grand Final this weekend, presenting the premiership medals to the players at the MCG.

NAB’s Head of Media and Partnerships, Tom Dobson, said NAB is proud to continue to support the AFL and AFL Women’s competition, and the NAB AFL Auskick program is vital to growing the great game.

“We want to support young footballers in local communities right across Australia,” Mr Dobson said.

“Just like Zara, we look forward to continuing to celebrate all the stars of tomorrow. We hope to one day see Zara take to the field in the AFL Women’s competition.”
