IT'S THE chant set to haunt Tiger fans throughout the long footy off-season.

'USA! USA!' was the Magpie crowd's chorus as Texan forward Mason Cox tore Richmond apart in the preliminary final.

It was a cruel end to an otherwise outstanding premiership defence, and the 2018 moment most Tiger fans say they'll struggle to forget.

Giving their season verdict on Richmond in an AFL.com.au survey, fans rated their season 7.9 out of 10.

Until the prelim, the year was packed with Tiger highlights, including Jack Riewoldt's Coleman Medal and Dustin Martin's incredible goal in the qualifying final against Hawthorn that one fan aptly described as being kicked from "the MCC toilets".
