DEFENDER Sam Rowe's career is set to end on 99 games after the Carlton defender was one of four players delisted by the club on Thursday.

Rowe, 30, was cut from the Blues' list after the final day of the NAB AFL Trade Period, along with Jed Lamb, Sam Kerridge and Nick Graham.

However, Lamb will train with the club ahead of the November NAB AFL Draft and could potentially be re-listed.

The Blues got busy during the Trade Period and acquired four players – Mitch McGovern, Alex Fasolo, Will Setterfield and Nic Newman – without losing any.

The four delisted players join Ciaran Byrne, Cillian McDaid, Alex Silvagni and Matthew Wright (all retired) and Jesse Glass-McCasker, Aaron Mullett, Cam O'Shea and Matthew Shaw as players departing the club.

Rowe played 17 games this year, which leaves him stranded on 99 after a career defined by persistence.
