IT'S A sight for sore eyes for Adelaide supporters as injury-plagued midfielder Brad Crouch hits the comeback trail after missing the entire 2018 season.

The 24-year-old was a welcome figure at Football Park on Thursday as he trained alongside the Crows' first-to-fourth-year players, joined by a handful of senior teammates, including vice-captain Rory Sloane.

Crouch – who had season-ending groin surgery in June - completed a series of running drills along with some light kicking.

The expectation is that Crouch will be available for the start of the JLT Community Series, with the Crows taking on cross-town rival Port Adelaide in Port Pirie on March 2.

However, the Crows are taking a conservative approach with Crouch's recovery given his extensive injury history and won't set any firm targets for his return.

"It’s good to see Brad training before his scheduled return date," Crows general manager of high performance Matt Hass told AFL.com.au.

"He has returned in good shape and is progressing exactly as expected.

"Brad is certainly doing all he can to best prepare his body for next season."

Crouch also missed the 2015 campaign with a persistent foot complaint.

He averaged 28.1 disposals, 6.8 tackles and 5.8 clearances in 20 games last year as the Crows reached the 2017 Grand Final.

The entire Crows squad is due back at the club's West Lakes headquarters next Monday when they complete a 2km time trial.
