Big Blue escapes with a fine for off-the-ball hit on Riewoldt

Liam Jones can accept a fine after being charged with rough conduct

CARLTON key back Liam Jones can accept a $2000 fine with an early guilty plea for an off-the-ball hit on Richmond forward Jack Riewoldt.

Jones was charged with rough conduct, with the incident assessed as intentional with low impact to the body.

Riewoldt was left visibly distressed after the hit in the second term. He was attended to by trainers but didn't leave the ground.

The pair clashed several times throughout the match, which Richmond won by 33 points.
