Powell appeared to have his head slammed into the Metricon Stadium turf by Setterfield late in the second quarter.

No free kick was awarded, but in a disturbing scene the Suns teenager tried to regain his feet before staggering backwards and falling over, again hitting his head on the turf.

He was assisted from the field by Gold Coast trainers.

Powell was assessed for concussion but failed half-time tests and has been ruled out for the rest of the match.
