BRISBANE captain Dayne Zorko says he's more concerned with helping his team regain form against Gold Coast than worrying about a rivalry with Suns midfielder Touk Miller.

In the build-up to Saturday's QClash at Metricon Stadium, Miller said his duel with Zorko was "personal" after having the better of the 2017 All Australian twice last year.

But speaking at Lions training on Friday morning, Zorko was not buying into it

"It's a team game, it's not about individuals, and that's the way I'll be seeing it," Zorko said.

"My teammates are the most important thing to me on that field.

"Giving away unnecessary free kicks is just not in our team ethos, so I'll be looking to go out there, play my role and execute it to the best of my ability and help the boys out as much as I can."

Zorko said Miller's barbs were just "words".

The Brisbane skipper has played more at half-forward in 2019 than he has in previous seasons, meaning Miller might only run with him sparingly.

Zorko's bigger concern is helping his team rebound from poor showings against Essendon and Collingwood in the past fortnight.

He said dealing with criticism as a team was a learning curve.

"It's exciting we are getting criticised, it means we are doing a lot of things really well and it's important we respond as best as we know how to.

"We need to get back to that selfless brand of football that we played our first three games and that's built off the back of contested ball.

"The last two weeks we've been beaten in that department and we understand Gold Coast plays a really contested game."

Both teams will unveil debutants on Saturday, with Brisbane playing No.55 draft pick Noah Answerth at half-back and Gold Coast unleashing exciting VFL recruit Josh Corbett in its forward line.
