PORT Adelaide has re-signed key defender Tom Clurey for the next four years until the end of 2023.

The 25-year-old has played 67 games for the Power since being drafted with pick No.29 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft.

"It's great to sign a long-term deal to remain at the club," Clurey said.

 "I have loved my time at Port Adelaide so far, and I am really excited by the group we have.

 "As a defensive unit we are jelling really well, but we are always looking at areas where we can improve."

 Port Adelaide's general manager of football, Chris Davies, said he has been pleased with the progression of the key defender.

"It's great news for the club to sign Tom on a four-year deal," Davies said.

 "He's a really important player in our young and exciting defensive setup, and he has been in some good form.

"We look forward to his continued development and leadership for the rest of the season and beyond."
