WEST Coast has omitted four players, including premiership player Tom Cole, for Thursday night's clash against Essendon.

The Eagles have made a total of six changes after their bye last week, which followed a lacklustre loss to Sydney in round 12.

Cole, Jake Waterman, Josh Rotham and Josh Smith have all been cut by coach Adam Simpson and will miss the contest, alongside suspended pair Willie Rioli and Nathan Vardy.

Premiership trio Shannon Hurn, Elliot Yeo and Chris Masten will all return to face the Bombers at Optus Stadium.

Small forward Jarrod Cameron will make his AFL debut, while Oscar Allen and Jackson Nelson have been recalled.

The Bombers have made only one change after their strong win over Hawthorn last week, with Jake Stringer's leg injury forcing him out.

He has been replaced by forward Mitch Brown.
