BRODIE Kemp was playing the best football of his season.

He had just come out of the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, where he'd kicked a goal to win a game for Vic Country and had turned another game. Then two weeks later he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and was ruled out for 12 months.
