Callum Mills and Nick Blakey are among the players of interest to the Bombers in a trade for Joe Daniher's Trade Winds will provide a round-up of the latest developments each morning until the end of the Telstra AFL Trade Period on Wednesday, October 16.

FOUR DAYS TO GO How do the 10 biggest deals get done?

Bombers zero in on star Swans

Essendon has targeted Sydney star Isaac Heeney and young gun Nick Blakey during trade negotiations over Joe Daniher.

However, the Swans have shut down any discussion over the key duo, according to The Age and News Corp.

Meanwhile, Channel Seven reported Sydney co-captain Luke Parker, Callum Mills and Oliver Florent are also on the Bombers' radar.

Essendon has made clear its desire to keep Daniher for the final season of his contract in 2020, when he would become a restricted free agent at year's end.

The Dons are demanding a star player plus draft selections to even consider dealing their 25-year-old spearhead before Wednesday's trade deadline.

But former NAB AFL Rising Star winner Heeney, 23, and athletic first-year forward Blakey are both under contract for three more seasons and viewed as untouchable by Sydney.

Daniher's management group TLA Worldwide has been engaged to search for a player to satisfy Essendon, potentially from a third club.

The Swans are likely to give up their pick No.5 in the NAB AFL Draft, and potentially Carlton's selection No.9, which they could receive for small forward Tom Papley, if they are going to satisfy the Bombers.

Four-way trade to make Bruce a Dog

St Kilda shapes as the major player this Telstra AFL Trade Period and a four-club deal could help the Saints get their business done.

Sending forward Josh Bruce to the Westrn Bulldogs will be pivotal for the Saints to secure their targets, and Channel Seven reports a deal involving Port Adelaide and Sydney is being held up by the Daniher impasse.

The Dogs insist their pick No.32 is a fair swap for Bruce, who kicked 36 goals this season.

St Kilda remains hopeful of securing a higher pick for the 27-year-old but is under pressure to get moving and bring in players.

Swans Zak Jones and Port Adelaide duo Paddy Ryder and Dougal Howard are on the Saints' shopping list.

Fremantle star Bradley Hill is their No.1 target but how that trade gets sealed is up in the air after St Kilda 'split' the pick six the Dockers were eyeing in a deal with Greater Western Sydney.

The Saints currently hold selections 12, 18, 76 and 82 in the upcoming draft, and could use a later selection for Richmond small forward Dan Butler.

St Kilda wants Geelong to cough up pick No.37 for four-time club champion Jack Steven and has plenty of work to do over the coming days.

Crows haggle over Keath value

Adelaide has pointed to the Western Bulldogs' trade involving defender Marcus Adams last year as a fair equivalent in a deal to send Alex Keath to the Kennel.

The Age reports the Crows think a swap similar to Adams going to Brisbane for pick No.32 and a future third-round selection last year as fair value in the Keath talks.

Adams was contracted and a year younger than 28-year-old intercept backman Keath, however, and the Dogs believe a selection close to their picks 45 or 51 is correct value.

Keath is facing a delayed start to pre-season after surgery on a stress fracture in his lower leg.
