In the seventh episode of Toe to Toe with Damo, gun onballer Mitch Duncan opens up to AFL.com.au's chief football reporter Damian Barrett
STAR midfielder Mitch Duncan says Geelong's 2013 preliminary final loss to Hawthorn was not just the game, but the season, "that got away".
Duncan finished the 2019 season physically banged up with shoulder, knee and hip complaints, but said he was on target to play in round one against Greater Western Sydney.

"2013, when we were up four goals against Hawthorn in the prelim at three quarter-time, maybe early in the fourth, that one still is the one I reckon that really got away," said Duncan, one of only four Cats who remain from the 2011 premiership team.
"I was still young, but I've watched the game a few times. Even personally, I kicked a couple out of the backline, just blazed away, not really knowing how long was left. You think about that."
