Which classic Swans-Bombers will be shown? Picture: AFL Photos

THE BEST footy flashbacks will continue on Friday night.

In the absence of live action, AFL.com.au will air classic matches from years gone by featuring the teams that were initially set to do battle in round two.

Via AFL.tv and the AFL Live Official App, the historic encounters will continue when we replay a famous match between Sydney and Essendon in place of their scheduled clash.

Given they have played out 11 matches decided by fewer than 10 points since the turn of the century, there were plenty of rippers to choose from. So, which one did we pick?

Dane Rampe's post-scaling heroics in the Swans' five-point win last year? Gary Rohan's goal after the siren as the Dons were downed by one point in 2017?

Or could we have elected for a thrilling one-point Essendon win when Adam Goodes missed after the siren in 2011? Or perhaps when the Bombers withheld a brave late Swans fightback to cling to victory at the SCG all the way back in 2007?

>> Continue to find ways to cheer on your side. If you're an AFL Live Pass subscriber, tune in on the AFL Live Official App and AFL.tv and Friday night from 7.50pm AEDT to watch the match in full as it happened.
