12pm AEST – Round 19, 2005: North Melbourne 15.14 (104) defeated Collingwood 14.14 (98)

One of the most incredible turnarounds of the century. Collingwood led by 18 points with just 3.21 minutes on the clock, while 'Joffa' even had the gold jacket on. But three North Melbourne goals in less than a minute of playing time quickly had the scores level. Nathan Thompson's 50m set shot, with just four seconds left, then sealed a stunning Kangaroos win.

Stats stars: Brent Harvey (34 disposals, two goals), Shannon Grant (18 disposals, three goals), Nathan Buckley (19 disposals, three goals), Brodie Holland (20 disposals, two goals)

2.20pm AEST – Round 5, 2006: Fremantle 14.10 (94) defeated St Kilda 13.15 (93)

Who could forget 'Sirengate'? Fremantle led by a point when the siren sounded in Launceston. The only issue? No umpire heard it. Despite the Dockers appealing that the game was over, play continued. Steven Baker earned a free kick, kicked a point (after a second siren) and seemingly earned a draw for the Saints. That was until three days later, when Fremantle was eventually awarded victory after a lengthy AFL Commission meeting.

04:33

Stats stars: Matthew Pavlich (21 disposals, six goals), Josh Carr (23 disposals, nine clearances), Jason Blake (25 disposals, two goals), Luke Ball (26 disposals, eight marks)

4.40pm AEST – Round 21, 2016: West Coast 14.13 (97) defeated Greater Western Sydney 14.12 (96)

Nic Naitanui, take a bow. West Coast trailed by five points with just eight seconds remaining when it had a boundary throw-in deep inside its forward 50. Naitanui scooped the ball, snapped truly and helped the Eagles secure a stunning buzzer-beater victory. It came after Greater Western Sydney had earlier led by 18 points deep into time-on.

04:14

Stats stars: Luke Shuey (38 disposals, two goals), Matt Priddis (26 disposals, two goals), Rory Lobb (15 disposals, four goals), Ryan Griffen (23 disposals, two goals)

12pm AEST – Round 10, 2015: Adelaide 14.15 (99) defeated Carlton 14.6 (90)

In what would prove champion Chris Judd's final game after a devastating ACL injury, Carlton challenged Adelaide right until the death. The lead changed hands multiple times in the final quarter as both sides traded five goals on the bounce, before the class of the Crows – along with five majors from Josh Jenkins – eventually willed the visitors over the line.

Stats stars: Josh Jenkins (18 disposals, five goals), Patrick Dangerfield (26 disposals, one goal), Marc Murphy (36 disposals, six clearances), Patrick Cripps (25 disposals, one goal)

2.20pm AEST – Round 6, 2006: Richmond 13.19 (97) defeated Essendon 13.17 (95)

In what would have been Sir Doug Nicholls Round, we've gone back to 2006 for the second ever Dreamtime at the 'G clash. Three consecutive Scott Lucas goals had put Essendon 10 points clear as we ticked into time-on, but Richmond would respond emphatically. Dean Polo's third of the night drew the Tigers level again, before crucial behinds from Jarrad Oakleigh-Nicholls and Andrew Krakouer secured victory.

4.40pm AEST – Round 20, 2007: Port Adelaide 12.15 (87) defeated Hawthorn 12.10 (82)

How did they pull this off? Port Adelaide was seven points down with 48 seconds on the clock, but two goals in an instant from Daniel Motlop and Brett Ebert secured a remarkable win. The second of those back-to-back goals was delivered as the final siren sounded, with the Power coming out victorious despite trailing by 16 points at three-quarter time.

03:41

Stats stars: Kane Cornes (38 disposals, three goals), Danyle Pearce (32 disposals, one goal), Clinton Young (25 disposals, one goal), Ben Dixon (10 disposals, three goals)

3pm AEST – Round 7, 2007: Western Bulldogs 16.16 (112) defeated Melbourne 16.10 (106)

Melbourne trailed by 15 points at three-quarter time, but kicked six goals in the final quarter to miraculously claim the lead late in the match. That was until Brad Johnson produced another special moment. With time ticking away, Johnson's 29th-minute goal – his fourth for the match – reclaimed the lead and secured victory for the Western Bulldogs.

Stats stars: Brad Johnson (21 disposals, four goals), Daniel Cross (26 disposals, one goal), Aaron Davey (29 disposals, three goals), Colin Sylvia (20 disposals, three goals)

5.20pm AEST – Round 3, 2004: Sydney 10.13 (73) defeated Geelong 10.7 (67)

Geelong actually led by 14 points at three-quarter time, before a Sydney barraged completely changed the momentum in the final term. An inaccurate Swans side kicked 11 consecutive scores in the decisive quarter, including three goals, to claim the advantage. Kent Kingsley eventually responded for the Cats. But it was too little, too late.

Stats stars: Brett Kirk (20 disposals, seven tackles), Paul Williams (19 disposals, two goals), James Kelly (22 disposals, three goals), Paul Chapman (15 disposals, two goals)

5pm AEST – Round 7, 2011: Gold Coast 18.16 (124) defeated Brisbane 17.14 (116)

The first ever QClash turned into a final quarter shootout at the Gabba back in 2011. After Brisbane had fought back from 27 points down at half-time, the hosts just couldn't quite claim the lead. A tense final term included 11 goals between the two sides, with Jared Brennan and Nathan Krakouer ultimately guiding the younger Gold Coast home.

Stats stars: Jared Brennan (30 disposals, 14 clearances), Nathan Krakouer (16 disposals, five goals), Daniel Rich (26 disposals, three goals), Ashley McGrath (15 disposals, six goals)
