AFL Media is proud to announce the introduction of a new title to be launched under the AFL Record masthead.

Great Footy Decades is an exciting historical, pictorial account of memorable decades that have profoundly shaped the game that today’s football fans have come to know and love.

Volume 1 begins with one of the most dynamic periods in the history of the AFL – The 90s.

This is the decade in which the VFL became the AFL and evolved into a truly national competition. It was the decade that saw the introduction of new clubs, new rules and the breaking of long-standing records.

Who could forget Collingwood's drought-breaking premiership of 1990 or West Coast's and Adelaide's first Grand Final victories? It was the era that saw Tony Lockett break the League's all-time goalkicking record.

And of course there were controversies, memorable moments and events including the merger of Fitzroy and the Brisbane Bears, the first Grand Final held at Waverley Park and the tragic death of Darren Millane.

Great wins and unforgettable moments. The arrival and departure of great champions. It’s all captured vividly in one beautifully produced magazine.

Great Footy Decades - The 90s is available now at shop.AFL.com.au or in time for Father’s Day in newsagencies, Newslink and all good retailers at a RRP of $14.95.
