RICHMOND superstar Dustin Martin will miss the Tigers' clash with Hawthorn on Thursday night. 

The Tigers have confirmed the dual Norm Smith medallist is out with rib soreness and won't tackle a Hawthorn midfield that regains Jaeger O'Meara from a facial fracture.

Martin has been incredibly durable in recent seasons for the Tigers, missing just two separates games through suspension and soreness last year and one game in 2018 with a calf injury.

He played every match possible from 2015-2017.  

The Tigers regain Josh Caddy from calf soreness and add have added second-year midfielder Jack Ross who has recently been trialled at half-back in training.

Premiership defender Liam Baker is out having returned home to Western Australia for family a matter, however the Tigers have assured he will be free to return from next week and avoid quarantine issues. 

The Hawks have omitted Harry Morrison for O'Meara. 

Ivan Soldo will once again be the sole ruckman for the Tigers, with Jon Ceglar expected to carry the ruck duties for the Hawks with Ben McEvoy to remain in defence.
