FORMER skipper Taylor Walker will return for Adelaide's crucial Monday night encounter with St Kilda at the Adelaide Oval, with the winless Crows looking to lift themselves off the canvass in their return to South Australia.

Walker, who missed only one match due to knee soreness, is one of two inclusions for the team alongside recalled wingman Paul Seedsman.

Tom Doedee will captain Adelaide in the absence of Rory Sloane, who is expected to miss up to six weeks due to a fractured hand, with the omitted Billy Frampton also set to make way.

It means that the wait continues for luckless veteran Bryce Gibbs, who was included in an extended 26-man squad on Friday but was not named in the final team. The former Carlton midfielder is yet to play a game since the season’s restart.

St Kilda had already confirmed that teenage speedster Ryan Byrnes would make his AFL debut in the clash, with veteran ruckman Paddy Ryder returning as one of two changes for the visitors.

Ben Long is withdrawn from the team as he begins his three-match rough conduct suspension, while key forward Jonathon Marsh also makes way.
