MELBOURNE has again dropped veteran defender Neville Jetta for its clash with Port Adelaide on Thursday night.

The backman was dropped after round two but fought his way back into the Demons' defence in round six.

However after gathering only two disposals last week against Brisbane, Jetta has been omitted again, with Harley Bennell rested due to the upcoming fixture cram.

Tom McDonald is back for the Dees after he was left out last week despite recovering from an eye injury, while youngster Tom Sparrow comes in for the Gabba clash. 

High-profile recruit Adam Tomlinson remains out of the side having been named an emergency.

The Power have made two changes, recalling former Brisbane skipper Tom Rockliff and Jarrod Lienert to face the Dees. 

Key forward Todd Marshall is out as he nurses his broken thumb, while Riley Bonner will miss with soreness.
