THE CATS are back in form and will go into Sunday's clash with Melbourne as warm favourites. But if the Demons are looking for a quick win or two at Simonds Stadium, it might pay for them to stick close to Steven Motlop.

The talented forward has notched 11 straight games with at least three clangers, dating back to last year. While he can certainly deliver a trick shot, Motlop also hands the ball back to the opposition on a regular basis.

He's still five games short of catching Lance Franklin as this streak's leader. Buddy warmed up for his free agency move to the Sydney Swans by generously handing the ball over to his opponents at least three times a game for 16 straight matches over 2012 and 2013.

Still, it's fair to say that wasn't the stat the Swans looked at when they drew up his contract.
