"He's always been invested," Beveridge said of Hunter.

"He's an influencer, not in a social media sense, but in a football club sense. Hopefully we can have him for a while now."

Meanwhile, injury-plagued Adelaide defender Andrew McPherson is set to have a scan on a "very minor" hamstring issue, according to coach Matthew Nicks.

McPherson made his debut earlier this year after battling injuries throughout his three years on the list.

Forward Darcy Fogarty was omitted for the clash after failing to create contests over the past few games, but Nicks believes he can co-exist in the forward 50 with veteran Taylor Walker.

"I think they can (play in the same team) – with 'Fog' this week we hadn't seen it for two weeks, we hadn't seen what we value," Nicks said.
