It won't be in front of a packed MCG like usual, but there will still be plenty of feeling when the traditional rivals lock horns in a match that will have massive top-eight implications.

The Pies will be without Steele Sidebottom after he returned to Melbourne to be with his partner for the impending arrival of their first child.

He is one of five changes for the clash with Flynn Appleby (injured), Levi Greenwood (managed), Travis Varcoe (omitted) and Trey Ruscoe (omitted) also out.

Goalkickers Brody Mihocek and Jaidyn Stephenson return to the side, along with Isaac Quaynor and brothers Callum and Tyler Brown.

The Blues meanwhile made just two changes with Paddy Dow and Cameron Polson replacing managed pair Matt Cottrell and Sam Petrevski-Seton.
