HE'S PLAYED in finals, premierships, even had a stint as Richmond skipper, but Tigers jet Shane Edwards says his latest training session in quarantine is something he'll remember forever.

In a Friday skills session in the AFL's 'Transition Hub', Edwards trained with St Kilda's triple All-Australian Dan Hannebery and dual Brownlow medallist Gary Ablett in what is just another bizarre scene that has become all too familiar in the COVID ravaged 2020.

"It's pretty surreal," Edwards said of the session.

"It's actually something that I'll probably reflect back at the end of my career and think what an unbelievable opportunity. You know so much about him [Gary Ablett] but I haven't really met him properly. He's just an amazing bloke.

"[His skills are] really sharp and really powerful, it's everything you see on the oval."
