GEELONG has dumped recruit Jack Steven for Thursday night's qualifying final against Port Adelaide as one of two unforced changes.

He will be replaced by pressure forward Tom Atkins who missed last week's win over Sydney with soreness.

Tom Clurey has been named to play after proving his fitness from a hamstring and will be joined by Zak Butters off suspension and Ryan Burton who has been cleared of a quad concern. 

The dropped Power trio are joined by retiring veteran Justin Westhoff in the Power's emergencies.

Steven and Ratugolea, along with Brad Close and Zach Guthrie, are emergencies for a Cats line-up that has flown 28 players to Adelaide.
