THE AFL has announced an updated fixture for the 2021 AAMI Community Series which will see all teams play one match in their home state from Thursday, March 4 to Monday March 8, 2021.

Matches scheduled in Victoria will remain unchanged while clubs in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia will play a match against the other team from their respective state, as detailed below:

Sunday March 7
>> West Coast v Fremantle to be played at Optus Stadium at 7.10pm AEDT (4.10pm AWST)
>> GWS GIANTS v Sydney Swans to be played at GIANTS Stadium at 1.10pm AEDT
>> Adelaide Crows v Port Adelaide to be played at Noarlunga Oval at 4.10pm AEDT (3.40pm ACDT)

Monday March 8
>> Gold Coast SUNS v Brisbane to be played at Metricon Stadium at 7.10pm AEDT (6.10pm AEST)

AFL Executive General Manager of Clubs and Broadcasting Travis Auld said the decision to revise the fixture was made to minmise risk by avoiding travel for the men's programs prior to the home-and-away season.

"The AAMI Community Series continues to play an important role for AFL clubs and supporters across the country and we thank everyone in the game for their understanding as we continue to work through the safest and most straightforward options for players, staff and supporters," Mr Auld said.

"The changes to the fixture are consistent with the league's approach to best managing the risks around COVID by minimising travel for teams where possible across both the men's and women's programs.

"As a result, we have had to make changes to some venues and we thank the people of Canberra (ACT), Fremantle (WA) and Launceston (TAS) for their understanding – each of those areas plays an extremely important role in our game. We hope to be able to return to Joondalup in the near future and we look forward to Canberra and Tasmania hosting AFL games as part of the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

"While we share the disappointment of these areas, we are also looking forward to supporters being able to safely attend AAMI Community Series matches, particularly in states where supporters have not been able to attend a men's game in over a year."

All 2021 AAMI Community Series matches will be broadcast live on FOX FOOTY and Kayo.

Ticketing arrangements for the 2021 AAMI Community Series will be advised in due course.
