IN TONIGHT'S Yokayi Footy, Hawthorn and former Port Adelaide champion Shaun Burgoyne joins the team to take a look at his incredible career ahead of his record-breaking 400th game.

Burgoyne will join the exclusive 400-game club when the Hawks play Port at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.

Only four other players have reached the milestone (Kevin Bartlett, Michael Tuck, Dustin Fletcher and Brent Harvey), and Burgoyne becomes the first First Nations player to achieve the amazing feat.

Giving us a rare insight into this humble champ, Burgoyne is relaxed and typically modest as tributes flow from Alastair Clarkson and his teammates. "It's embarrassing to hear people talk about you like that," Burgoyne says.

"In a footy club ... you respond more to ... hardened feedback. Makes you a feel a bit uncomfortable in your head to hear people say nice things about you."

Burgoyne reflects on his career, and gives us a fascinating insight into his relationship with former Port coach Mark 'Choco' Williams, plus more.
