Four matches take place in Round Eight of NAB League Girls, the Labour Day long weekend in Victoria, starting with a pair of Thursday night clashes.

With three rounds of matches remaining, the battle for the top two spots in each conference is on, with a number of teams still in contention for finals.

The first battle this weekend brings together two Metro Conference teams with 5-1 records and in the premiership mix, with Calder Cannons (3rd Metro) taking on Western Jets (2nd Metro) in Craigieburn.

On the same night, unbeaten Dandenong Stingrays (6-0) will look to sure up top spot in the Country-Tassie Conference when they host 2021 premiers Oakleigh Chargers under lights in Seaford. The Chargers (3-4, 5th Metro) look unlikely to contest finals.

Action continues on Sunday when Tassie (3-3, 3rd Country-Tas Conference) will try and keep their finals hopes alive when they travel to Kilsyth to take on the powerful Eastern Ranges (5-1, 1st Metro) in the game to be live streamed via NewsCorp (Herald Sun / Mercury) channels.
