THREE heart-and-soul rebel VFLW players played their 50th matches in the competition during last week’s Round 11 of competition.

Casey Demons captain Sammie Johnson and tackling machines Reni Hicks (North Melbourne) and Courteney Bromage (Port Melbourne) each reached the significant milestone in the sixth season of the competition.

Essendon’s Federica Frew extended her lead in the Rohenna Young Medal to 10 goals with three rounds to play, although Hawthorn’s Jessie Williams could make a late charge after booting four in her team’s big win over Port Melbourne – a result that represented the highest score the Borough has conceded and its biggest loss in its two-year history.

Geelong’s Georgie Rankin, Hawk Jordan Mifsud and Western Bulldog Jemma Webster each ended double-figure waits to kick their first VFLW goals.
