LAST Sunday Oskar Faulkhead was kicking two goals as Geelong overcame GWS in their Smithy's VFL clash at GMHBA Stadium.

This Sunday, just seven days later, he will run out for Gold Coast in their important game against Collingwood at the AIA Centre after being taken at pick No.7 by the Suns in the NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft on Wednesday night.

Faulkhead, 19, has impressed for Bendigo Pioneers, Geelong and the Colgate Young Guns so far this season, and will get the chance to add the Suns to that list as he now lives his AFL dream.

* SYDNEY has selected NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft selection Hugo Hall-Kahan for its rare Smithy's VFL MCG clash against the undefeated Casey Demons on Saturday.

Hall-Kahan, 18, joined the Swans with pick 11 on Wednesday night after starring for Sandringham Dragons and the Colgate Young Guns this season, and has been named at full-forward to replaced former Dragon Joel Amartey, who was called into the AFL team to cover for Lance Franklin.

Swans Academy youngster Louis Wilson will also debut against the Demons, who wrung seven changes to the team that saw off Frankston last week, with promoted best-on-ground Adam Tomlinson going out, but seven AFL-listed players returning to give them 16 in the team.

* GEELONG draftee Zane Williams debuted in its narrow loss to Footscray at VU Whitten Oval on Friday.

The Cats took Woodville-West Torrens forward Williams, 20, with pick 12 and wasted no time in rushing the young forward who has kicked 15 goals in eight SANFL games into the VFL team, where he had 12 disposals, six marks and kicked 0.3.

Echuca’s Jack Evans also made his debut for Geelong among six changes to the team that beat GWS last week, with Francis Evans, Sam Menegola, Quinton Narkle and Shannon Neale also returning to the team.

The Bulldogs were without young gun Sam Darcy but included Jordon Sweet and Nathan Drummond.

Brisbane Lions regained Mitch Robinson and Jack Payne, with former Frankston star Mitch Cox one of two outs for its home game against Northern Bullants, who regained Mutaz El Nour but lost Doug Lawrence.
