CALDER Cannons have suffered a couple of significant blows for their do-or-die NAB League quarter-final against Sandringham Dragons at Mars Stadium on Sunday.

The Cannons will be without key midfielder Kade Mueller with a rib injury, while Luke Said has also been ruled out with a back problem, with their places being taken by Shane Clough and Hugo Garcia.

Mueller has averaged 20.3 disposals and 4.1 marks this season, with a best outing of 31 touches against Geelong Falcons in Round 10 and a 27-possession game against Oakleigh Chargers in Round 9.

The Dragons have lost Mitchell Ryan, who had 24 touches against the Falcons in Round 13, with a calf injury, calling on Mackenzie Allan, who played the last of his four games against Gippsland in Round 11.

Dandenong Stingrays made three changes for Sunday’s game against Western Jets, with Billy Wilson (illness) being the key out, but they will regain forwards Ziggy Toledo-Glassman, who has 13 goals from five games, and Lachlan Robinson.

Jets ruckman Nathan Dowdy returns after missing the Wildcard win over Geelong, with his 24.7-hitout average being comfortably the best in the competition out of the full-time clubs.

Gippsland Power have lost defender Rhys Galvin to illness for their game against the unchanged Northern Knights at Ikon Park on Saturday, but has been able to recall the prolific Max Walton, who is averaging 21.3 disposals, including two games of 30+ in Rounds 11 and 13, ruckman Lachlan Smith, forward Archer Reid (14 goals) and Tom Hanily, who played just two games in Rounds 11 and 12 but picked up 22 and 15 disposals, but Mitch Moschetti will remain with Carlton’s VFL team.

Bendigo Pioneers have replaced the injured Bailey Cain with Oskar Smartt to take on the Tasmania Devils, who are unchanged for their first game in three weeks, at Ikon Park on Saturday morning.
