The Deadliest

The word ‘Deadly’ has a special meaning to Indigenous Australians. It means great, awesome, or brilliant. In 2020, Yokayi Footy held a tournament to determine the AFL’s most Deadly player. A panel of Indigenous AFL greats teamed up with coaches, umpires and key Indigenous advisory groups to nominate the top 16 Deadliest Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander players. From there, the top 16 were placed in a bracket-style competition and each week the footy loving public voted on who should progress to the next round. While Andrew Mcleod was the eventual winnner, this content series allows you to enjoy he best moments from all 16 players' footy careers.
