Field manual

In May 2017, Port Adelaide and Gold Coast played a landmark match at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai.  This match was the AFL's first clash for premiership points outside of Australia and New Zealand. The fixture in China is expected to become an annual event. 

Jiangwan Stadium was previously known as Shanghai Stadium and also referred to as the Jiangwan Sports Centre.

The 25,000-capacity stadium previously hosted an exhibition match in 2010 between Melbourne and Brisbane. Built in 1934, the venue features an athletics track which is covered over for AFL matches and also hosts amateur soccer matches and community events.
