ST KILDA is eyeing a move for experienced Carlton forward Nicola Stevens, as the club continues to search for ways to add more experience and talent into its youthful side ahead of next season.

Womens.afl understands Stevens has met with the Saints and is currently weighing up their interest, just days after the Blues lost three-time best and fairest Maddy Prespakis and talented young forward Georgia Gee to the Bombers.

The 29-year-old was traded to Carlton from Collingwood in 2018 and started her career as a defender at the Blues, but has since moved into the forward line and has kicked 16 goals from 19 games across the last two seasons.

Young midfielder Grace Egan is another expected to depart Ikon Park in the next month, with a host of interstate sides – including expansion team Sydney – all in the market for the talented 21-year-old onballer.

Sydney and Port Adelaide are also understood to be leading a handful of other clubs in chasing Adelaide premiership ruck Caitlin Gould, as expansion sides look to pick off the best talent from the Crows.

The 22-year-old Gould is a 181cm ruck who has played 22 games across the last three years for Adelaide. She finished with 12 disposals and 13 hitouts in last week's Grand Final win over Melbourne.

But the reigning premier has targets of its own and is among a host of teams understood to be circling West Coast speedster Niamh Kelly, as the Crows look to bolster a list that has already taken the club to three premierships in six seasons.
